Fun with friends and fun with Jesus is a big part of what brings Metro Campers running back year after year!
How does our camp structure set them up for that?
Fun with your church – every church will spend up to 3 hours daily participating in recreation activities with small groups of children within your church or with your entire church group! Likewise, your daily Bible Study time will be spent with your campers only. This enables you and your leaders to build relationships with your campers in many different environments. There will be additional time each day where campers will continue the fun with others across the camp. Other fun times include Rally, free time, canteen time, recreation time, cabin time, etc..
Recreation – Riverbend retreat center offers the best recreation activities to be found! Your campers will rotate through the following recreation activities during their time at camp:
Water Park– The Riverbend swimming pool is a fabulous play area with water slides, a diving board, basketball goal, etc.! But really… It’s all about clean cold water in August! Every church will also have a night swim time assigned to them at the Swimming Pool…under the BIG Texas starry sky!
Paintball Range & Archery – campers enjoy the paintball range and the archery range… Something They don’t typically get to do at home!
Zip line & Challenge Course – two zip lines are available to send your camper flying high at Riverbend! The Challenge Course is an area where campers are challenged to work together and accomplish things that may not believe they can do.
Waterfront – an amazing lake area for your campers to slide down the Wet Willy, climb a water igloo, jump on the water trampoline, navigate the water obstacle course, fly through the air on a trapeze and BLOB their buddies!
Archery Tag – imagine a paintball course with bows and arrows that have foam tips! Your campers will enjoy this game where they will interact with others with the goal of winning the game of tag! Every participant must wear full protective gear provide.
Metro Camp also provides two other recreational activities for your campers to rotate through during the week:
Water Sports – interactive games on the softball field that will have your campers laughing while being wet and quite possibly muddy!
Creative zone – air-conditioned activity room where your campers can get creative with provided crafts and maybe music or creative dramatics!
